It’s remarkably difficult trying to find Midnight Diner, with English subtitles, on DVD. This is partly because there are different Midnight Diner seasons that were given different names and numbering before and after the franchise was taken by Netflix. There have also been Chinese and Korean versions of Midnight Diner Made.
To further add to the confusion, there have been two Japanese movies made that were called Midnight Diner 1 & 2.
So here’s the basics of what you need to get and what order you need to watch things.

Ok, so the Japanese Midnight Diner tv shows were made in series that were named and numbered like this.

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories Season 1
Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories Season 2
This is confusing, because, of course, the fourth season of the show, you would think would be “season 4”. But it’s not, it’s actually “Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories Season 1”.
This is because there was a short break in production of the show before it was taken up and revamped by American streaming giant Netflix.
So you will see various Midnight Diner DVDs around that say “Season 1” on them, but if you look closely at the cover they actually say Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories.

Luckily they are Region Free/Worldwide (region 0), so you can watch them wherever you are. For some reason, we haven’t found these available on Amazon or other stores.
